    he also had to send out 7 more patches for this



    This is to make it so DIX ABI doesn't vary between rootless and non-rootless
    builds. Mostly a resend of a previous series, but #7 is new.

    Default XOrg and windows/mac

    Would these changes allow to run XOrg rootless in windows or macOS (or even AmigaOS, OS/2 and others), allowing to a seamless work with X apps under these systems?

    Well you can since you don't program against X11 but use toolkits like GTK,Qt or SDL and they all have the proper backends for other platforms anyway.

    The X server already runs rootless on those platforms - this is making it easier to use that existing code on Linux & Unix platforms.
