Phoronix: OpenSUSE 13.1 Goes Into Beta With Linux 3.11
The first beta release of openSUSE 13.1 is now available and making the cut before the feature freeze was the Linux 3.11 kernel and Mesa 9.2.0...
Remember back in 2004 that Novell's acquisition of SuSE was to make SuSE become as big as, or bigger than, Red Hat. The recent kernel contribution release shows that it's still an ongoing thing. I find SuSE more interesting than Oracle, Scientific, CentOS, and ClearOS in that they pave their own vision of linux rather than react to Red Hat's.
