I don't think adding a simple phrase on the wiki will take a lot of time from them.
Also, I'm not sure if such thing (default wallpaper) would suffice for XMir, since that could be used with already configured DEs with other wallpapers. With Unity 8 it's probably enough, because your only option to configure it is to install the development version with its default config at first.

Or does Fedora put a giant flashing red alter popup on the desktop of thier prerelease software that I'm not aware of? The fact that your warned that there maybe bugs and other critical environment prohibitive issues before you download it seems good enough for every distro out there. Why the double standard for ubuntu?
What I expect is that if you're encouraging people to test software, you explicitly warn them about known security issues.

in any case this just enter in the list of "is retarded run a full screen XServer to handle 100% of the job thorugh an page flip layer because is cool for PR" and has an special mention in the category of "is retarded to put 2 graphic servers to Mortal Kombat each other to see which one handle the input events first because seems fun" and ofc gold for the "why we had to do this? explain it to me again!!! Canonical trademark"

as of 8/22/13 there is still a security bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/xmir/+bug/1192843) that might expose your confidential information. A fix is currently being worked on (https://code.launchpad.net/~robertcarr/mir/client-focus-notifications)"

Oh, looks that's the same ppa Daniel told me wasn't where the fix is in progress. A quote from the actual Mir developers, but what do they know, they only work on the project. Shows how much Daniel knows. Also look how well that comment of yours backfired in your own face jrch2k8, turns out your just a waste of breathe.

Hahahahahahha. What an epic failure on both of your parts.

Yeah, Canonical should make it their default wallpaper for all releases...

The code in that branch provides infrastructure for fixing the problem, it doesn't actually fix the problem.

You mean the PPA you have no need to know about to try XMir? Whoopsie.
Remember it is in main, now.

As confirmed by the XMir developer here: https://twitter.com/RAOF_47/status/371117986167263234 . You'll be apologising to Daniel, I guess?
