            I'm not terribly surprised nvidia released it this quick. First of all, it's a beta. Second, nvidia and AMD are pretty much the only companies that have hardware effectively capable of opengl 4.4, so that means nvidia must have already been experimenting with this before it was even announced.

            I personally won't really care how long AMD takes to release their 4.4 compatible drivers. There's barely anything out there that uses 4.2.

              If only nvidia were with us

              instead of against us, and contributed to Mesa instead of keeping with the old ways of doing things, we might all have more advanced OpenGL functionality across the board.
