  • Using tests ofline with downloading packets before

Hello, do you know if I download packets phoronic test for one time to my PC and use it next time without downloads again from phoronics. These files is quite big and I waste a lot of time to download it every time.
I'm interested in testing PC with Linux or Windows OS.

    Yes it's easily possible; Basically:

On a PC with internet connection run:

    phoronix-test-suite install <whatever tests you want, etc>

    run: phoronix-test-suite make-download-cache

then within ~/.phoronix-test-suite/download-cache/ will be all of the test files. Simply copy the files over to the new PCs to the same location of download-cache/ and you should be set. See other details in the included documentation, etc.

Thanks for your answer, but I would like to know more about included documentation. Where is it included?
      Where can I find it?

Included within the program itself in the documentation folder.

Or from going to the web-site http://phoronix-test-suite.com/?k=documentation there is PDF version: http://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/d...test-suite.pdf

The make-download-cache sub-command just searches through all installed tests to look for what files are present and will cache them.

                http://phoronix.com/forums/showthrea...packets-before

so I have to make new Thread to ask my next question:
                There is here: http://phoronix.com/forums/showthrea...887#post329887

I would like to know may I copy folder installed-tests to another PC and don't make [make-download-cache] folder else for these purpose?
