Anybody else thought that the headline said "Heavily-Upgraded Portal Hits Steam" at first glance?

No. The first time I read about Postal I think did get it mixed with Portal for a second, however.

If there's ever been an exploitation video game that tries to sell by simply trying to offend everyone, this is it.

The state of Postal III for Linux right now is in a mixed-up state but will likely come, eventually.
Not that anything of value would be lost if it doesn't, though.

So what was upgraded about it? High res textures? Improved rendering engine? Or is this just a compatibility update to keep it running on modern systems?

Postal 1 is not a 3D shooter. It's a top-down isometric shooter (more like Alien Breed). It's also the best game in this series IMHO :-).

Postal III is not coming to Linux ever, as RWS does not even own the rights to it and has officially disowned the title. The fact that Larabel could not even do some basic research on this fact is just totally embarrassing. They can not even update the Windows version, remove the DRM, or release the modding tools. They do not own the rights to it anymore.

Says someone who has probably not even played the games. There is actually a lot of depth here, and only the arrogant or ignorant refuse to see it.

If you want to get angry at "exploitation" games, there are a lot worse options than Postal anyway...
