I think Chris Michael has an account in the forums so could it be possible to tell us what is needed for this to be complete plus give us a time estimate?? Are they targeting E18 for this?

    Pretty please.

Well Creator of Ubuntu/Canonical DID promissed support for Wayland didn't he?

Now he can prove that by single action Canonical given big bust to motivation for anyone involved (by showing git activities before/after)

.. all in Canonical best tradition of not commiting engineers to work on low-level upstream stuff

AFAIK E had plans to support wayland -and write their own compositor- waaaaaaaaaaay before mir was announced. They also announced that they are not planing to support mir.

I was joking that Mir may be the cause to accelerate already existing plans to support Wayland. You know. Just to show that Wayland is OK, and GOOD, and READY.
