    For starting off Friday's benchmarking at Phoronix are some numbers when looking at the Nouveau driver with Ubuntu 13.04 against NVIDIA's proprietary Linux graphics driver when both are controlling a Quadro GPU found on a ThinkPad laptop...

      lol, even an HD2500/HD3000/HD4000 IGP does better.

        They should rely put an effort in enabeling reclocking.
        The driver is stable and performace seems to be very good when compared
        at the same speed.

          GUIs are for whimps anyway. just use a pitch black console and you'll be fine.

            +1. It'd be even better if we could control fan speed and overclock Fermi/Kepler GPUs... then I'd switch to Nouveau if a few shader-related and font bugs were fixed too. :P

              The card tested only has 128Mb. There is no such thing as a 512Mb onboard lenovo NVS 140M. NVidia reports shared system memory.
