And prior to fosdem there will be a gnome hackfest. Will a bunch of hackers including current and former udev devs tie gnome to the world of systemd? Oh yes.

And will the moronix neckbeardos cry again? Oh yes. Brace your self for the wraith of the neckbeardish shit tsunami and remember the popcorn.

Please do not make stuff up. As per GNOME release team decision, systemd won't be relied upon for critical functionality.

Though, yeah, it would be much easier if every distribution just used systemd.

Systemd is not a hard dep for 3.8 thats true. But for the comming build systems, containers, VMs and 3.10? Im ready to bet on it.

Suggest not to bet on a hard dependency for GNOME 3.10 as I'm a GNOME release team member.

That we likely use it in "GNOME OS" (which is a very bad name), most likely. But as said, not all distributions have switched to systemd. I'd really like Debian and Ubuntu to provide systemd though

Well Im still betting on it. Others have a different view on that matter. Ubuntu and Debian are not betting on systemd right now but nothing is set in stone.

Fosdem will end bad for the eudev forksters. Lets hope they have grown long neckbeards by now. Lennart, Kay and Greg will be there during the shit talk about a shit fork. LoL.

This might be worth an airline ticket.

It's so awesome when everyone just ignores him and leaves him to troll himself.
