    Yes, this means that the next major version of Plasma is going to be somewhat unexciting. We can't promise the fireworks of the 4.0 release.

      In KDE developer's defense I should point out that KDE 4.0 was never intended for human consumption. (I know, I used it)
      From there, things have been progressing quite nicely.

      But I do agree that having a quiet KDE 5.0 (Linux 3.0 style) is a good thing (tm).
