  • (EE) fglrx(0): [drm] failed to remove DRM signal handler

This error shows up occasionally in the Xorg log, and the effect is unresponsive keyboard at gdm and I have to reboot with the menu.

Does this ring any bells and if so is there a work around to avoid this?

I also have this error but don't know how to resolve this, at least at the moment...

Ok well, it seems like fglrx driver is not to blame and that error message is just a symptom not the cause, because the same dead keyboard thing is happening with the free 'radeon' driver except there is no error in the log.

this happens frequently with 2.6.24, xorg-7.3 and xorg-server-1.4 especially if you use evdev for keyboard. i found it to not be there with the latest 2.6.23.

I've seen it since 2.6.23 as well.

I also have this problem on 2.6.23, although I don't use evdev as keyboard driver.
