  • AMD strategy flop "major partners, simplified production" result in a desaster:

    http://www.hardwareluxx.de/index.php...rstellung.html

The major partner strategy result in a major market share lost
And the simplifying of the products result into a major lost of Performance
And the result is : the customers buy Nvidia or Intel or ARM.
Also in europe there isn't any "new" linux hardware based notebook product the major partner strategy also result into a "Windows" only strategy.
And the result is: the Intel notebooks with Linux are cheaper than the AMD notebooks with windows.
In other words AMD force there Linux customers to buy windows or Intel hardware.

In other words: the AMD management is smoking CRACK!

The cited article does not speak of any causality.

    Translates roughly to:

Allegedly they saved 160 million dollars with their strategy and reduced expenses from 610 to 450 million dollars. But this strategy is risky because their market share is shrinking. *diagram, that shows how the market share is shrinking while not saying that it is shrinking because of that strategy*

The chip business just don't work in this way if your future product do have less performance than your product right now and the competitive company?s "Intel" compete with you on every single market then you are "Fucked"
Also in the chip business market share is everything "Intel" just win because of 80% market-share and in the future they will do have even more market share.

And cheap products? lol the ARM people are cheap right now AMD is bankrupted faster than they can build ARM chips.

I don't really know, it just seemed you were citing that article as support for your "argument" and especially that diagram when it isn't really.

And again, I don't really know but didn't they introduce enduro especially for high end graphics? I mean the hd 7970M is still an extremely fast mobile card.
