A couple of days ago Koop Mast committed version xf86-video-intel 2.20.13 to the FreeBSD Xorg development repository, updating it from 2.20.4. This version enables Sandy Bridge New Acceleration (SNA), though it needs to be manually enabled in xorg.conf.
It's good to see the porters keeping the driver up-to-date. The only thing left now is integrating the KMS work with the console - at the moment, once the module is loaded it isn't possible to go back to the console.
