Phoronix: Enlightenment E17 Alpha 4 Released

Just a couple days after the release of E17 Alpha 3 there is a fourth alpha version of the forthcoming Enlightenment release...

    Default E17 on ancient hardware

A friend of mine has a laptop from 1999 which has 64 MB of RAM. Is that enough to run Enlightenment? Should I try Bodhi Linux or is there a lighter Enlightenment distribution? Obviously he should get a better computer but he is unemployed and broke.

I haven't tried running the alpha releases yet, but I believe this issue is to do with the theme. You may need to reset the theme to default and see if that fixes things.

There have been many changes recently, and older themes may not behave as well as they should.
