Will AMD Linux video driver ever support Bitstreaming of DTS-MA and Dobly Digital HD?

I currently have a passively cooled AMD E450 system running OpenElec. Although the performance of the system and video quality is, for me, more than adequate. My major complaint is that FGLRX still doesn't support bitstreaming of DTS-MA and Dolby Digital HD (Tested it with an OpenElec nightly build with AudioEngine enabled) via HDMI.

Does anybody know if AMD is working on this problem? The windows driver does support bitstreaming of HD audio...
