  • Samba question

Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong place. I set an old laptop as a home server, sharing out the only user's /home folder to the entire network as a file server. I dont want to blast my config files across the network though so I veto'd all "dot" files in smb.conf via

    veto files = /.*/

Only problem is sometimes I want to handle git via the samba share, but since samba vetos all dot files, Git GUI cant find the ".git" in each project's folder. Anyone got an idea for how I could veto all "dot" files for /home/admin but not for /home/admin/git?
All opinions are my own not those of my employer if you know who they are.
