And it provides a composite index based upon massive amounts of data - http://openbenchmarking.org/index though no index based on power use since there's many factors and not enough power usage tests done by the community.
It's a great idea, and the database is huge, but the information could probably be more "accessible", i.e. more readable. Like a list of the 5 best graphics cards from each vendor, for each corresponding driver (both blob and FOSS). A little more "user friendly", I think that could help make it the default source for people trying to find out more about what hardware to get.

Btw, here's an interesting report, where drivers says "Gtk-warning": http://openbenchmarking.org/result/1...GR-ED236643423

As shown in the latest Test Automation article and in some other comments I've made, there's many more improvements coming to OB, alas not enough time in a day but some really good stuff will be committed in the next two months.

In terms of GTK-Warning, yes, that issue is known if using the PTS package from a combination of what I think was the NVIDIA blob, Ubuntu 11.04, and the PTS package inside the repository. The issue was addressed upstream as a result of an Ubuntu-specific problem, but the package wasn't backported to that repo.

Yeah, personally I find OpenBenchmark pretty useless.

It has lots of unachieved potential though, if it only were to sort, categorize, filter and present information in a friendly, sane and informative way.

There's lots of upstream usability improvements there coming through one of the PTS Commercial customers.
