Phoronix: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 "Kepler" On Linux?

NVIDIA has finally introduced their first Kepler-based graphics card: the GeForce GTX 680. The new Kepler graphics architecture is an exciting successor to Fermi, but how well does this new graphics processor work under Linux? Here's a glimpse in what to expect for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series on Linux...

And David Airlie just asked Linus to pull these changes along with Nouveau's de-staging

That sure will make a nice announcement

On the official there ins't any binary driver for Linux now. Look self:
        drivers,driver,nvidia,download,geforce,nforce,quadro,tesla,cuda,download,developer

So don't write in news, that it is supported.

@ olbi: The support which the article is about, is unofficial. The 680 indeed isn't listed as supported.

It's nice of Nvidia to send Phoronix a card. Now if they'd only enable OC'ing in their binary drivers and show Nouveau a little love

The 295.33 driver is available in the Ubuntu-X-Swat PPA for easy installation by users of Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates

AMD results are not available for these GPGPU results since the AMD OpenCL/APP SDK was being problematic under Linux at the time,
What kind of problem? JuliaGPU and SmallPt run without problems on my HD7970/HD6970 GPUs (I'm running Debian GNU/Linux, fglrx 12-3).

Also, I would like to see some OpenCL double-precision float point benchmarks, as this type of workload is very important for scientific computation.
