    Before assuming it's because of Mali, it's very common for embedded companies to give zero concern for older chips.

    Even if it might run given a few hours' work, it makes no sense financially to add driver support for chips they are no longer selling.


    Googling "fimg2d" gave a PDF with this:
    FIMG-2D is a 2D graphics accelerator that supports three types of primitive drawings: Line/Point Drawing, Bit
    Block Transfer (BitBLT) and Color Expansion (Text Drawing).
