Phoronix: GCC 4.7 Release Candidate 1 Offers Many Changes
Just as expected, the first release candidate of GCC 4.7 is now available for testing. This major update to the GNU Compiler Collection introduces several new language features, hardware support improvements, and other support enhancements to the GPLv3-licensed compiler...
I really hope for C++11 & C11 to mature soon, hopefully it's not gonna happen like with C99 where they only implemented most of the stuff and C99 now, 13 years later, is still not ready.
Judging by the C99 wikipedia entry, the only compilers which have full support for C99 are IBM compilers, Portlands PGI C/C++ and Sun Studio. Chances are the other compilers will never have full support since there are likely features in the C99 standard which are practically never used out in the wild.
