  • Mobile Braodband on Linux Netbook?

I have bough an Acer Aspire One which runs on Linux and want to install a Mobile Broadband dongle - has anyone done this successfully and if so how?

    Yes, it can be done.

I just plugged my details into wvdial and it worked. The only problem I had was that I had to connect as root. It was a friends dongle I used to test with so I haven't had a lot of time to get it working right.

You have no need of wvdial just insert dongle, when light start blinking on dongle go to upper right corner and click on the internet icon you will get a link named something GSM click on that, after clicking a window will open, follow steps and after completing step you will be connected to internet.
