  • Installation failed - how to do I uninstall and wipe partial downloads?

I'm a newbie - just did first Ubuntu install this week. My experience is CP/M (!), DOS, Windows and MacOS.
Laptop (HP DV2500) was free as it has a history with the original owner of being unreliable (with Vista).
So far all is well. However I wanted to put it under stress to get some confidence in the hardware and opted for Phoronix Test Suite.
Install went OK but when I selected a test suite the program wanted to download up to 2 GBytes of stuff - and kept failing to download certain files.
For now I just want to unload/uninstall PTS, and any files it subsequently downloaded - some time in the future when I am more familiar with Linux I'll come back to it.

Is it just a case of finding the target directory and wiping everything, or do I need to "uninstall" PTS?

    Thanks.
