    I hope this translates to "We won't let applications steal focus and pop on top of the window you are using". :-) Always good to hear that Wayland is making progress.

        This seems like something where you can get very good inspiration from Khronos.
        They already made some standards that do compositing and other stuff.
        http://www.khronos.org/ (EGL and OpenMAX in particular)
