Delete phoronix forum account

Does anyone know how to delete a phoronix forum account? I've looked everywhere and it would seem ridiculous if you couldn't...

You can't. And it's not ridiculous, it's like that on the majority of forums. You can't just delete your account, who the hell do you think you are? :-P

On a serious note, deleting an account is problematic. Makes the forum look ugly by having "guest" posts. Deleting those posts also doesn't work out, because that means removing content from the forum that might be useful or might result in threads with broken continuity (basically people looking like they're talking to an invisible person.)

makes sense. i guess that would be the same reason for not being able to change the account name, since that is what I really want to change.
