yeah, its just a game, rather a gimmick. not one bit of professionalism there. and its amusing, as yoshi's signature reads. may be phoronix should change the name of their site (which reflects 'for unix' i guess) to phoradeonix .

      Hi,
Does anyone know if fglrx will ever support framebuffer? I am really annoyed by having some useless console resolution on a 17" screen. Support for xorg-server-1.4 would also be nice - runs fine now but I cannot use compiz-fusion.
      Cheers,

      Wojtek

Could you please post some more details? Distro/card/grub.conf would be great.
          Cheers,

            uhm..

            card: radeon 9550
            distro: slackware-current
kernel: custom built 2.6.24-pre with radeonfb built in

slack uses lilo but I'm not passing any relevant options to it

I just hope they fix the rialto thing.

Micheal, don't you have a test system with a Rialto based AGP card? I'm sure you have 7.12 beta maybe let us desperate users know if we finally can use our cards in the next update?

radeonfv caused tons of lockups on 2.6.23 for me. no idea why.

                i'm using uvesafb.

                  and for my new system:

                    I hope for:
                    SoName fix
                    Memleak

If they just fix the memleak i will be happy...

                      fed up with waiting

I am completely miffed at Ati. Have been using their cards for years and have been waiting for decent Linux drivers for the last two years, now it's just enough. My next setup will have an nVidia Card. I'm tired of waiting and hoping. Programming OpenGL is not fun when the driver doesn't support this and that and is bug-ridden like an ant hill. That's it. I've had enough. Waiting for another year? Not with me.
