    You need the original Warcraft II CD (Battle.net edition doesn't work) to extract the game data files.

    maybe is better if we place more resources into developing 0AD and/or Glest (which needs a good revamp).

      Then again, consider OpenTTD. They replaced the engine first, while a parallel project worked on creating replacement art assets. The state today is that you can download OpenTTD + OpenGRF to get a completely free/open game, or add the original graphics (and sound+music) if you prefer and have a copy of those.
