    Phoronix: SilverStone EC03 USB 3.0 PCI-E Adapter

If you're wanting to pick-up a USB3-enabled drive enclosure like the SilverStone TS07 or RVS02 (or any other USB 3.0 peripherals), but don't have any USB 3.0 ports on your system, the SilverStone EC03 can provide two USB 3.0 ports from a PCI Express x1 slot.

This is a good card to provide front-panel USB 3.0 but for USB 3.0 on the back you'd probably better get a cheaper Western Digital card which also has a NEC chip. The WD card is, however, a little bigger but that shouldn't be such a problem as it still does not interfere with the cooler of many graphics cards when being placed directly next to the PCIe x16 (which is unfortunately quite common on cheaper motherboards).
