  • 8.42.3 opengl = no gamma adjustment?

    Drivers rock! Fast with better ccc but alas i have no gamma in opengl games. Anyone else have this problem?

    AMD x2 @ 2.9 x850pro 1gig ocz and ubuntu 7.10 are my sys specs.

    I have not seen this with the new drivers. Will have to take a look, though. Any game in particular?

      RTCW ET, Descent3, WorldofWarcraft even! All run or running opengl.

        Yeah, true.

        No gamma adjustment in opengl, no gamma adjustment anywhere. I already posted this issue earlier in some other thread, but let's repeat it here: when screensaver activates, screen doesn't dim first (as it should do). And there's no gamma adjustment anywhere, except in the "catalyst control center".

        Also OpenGL games are very slow if aiglx is enabled in the xorg.conf and compiz is not running. If I re-enable compiz, then everything flickers awfully in all opengl apps.

        I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy on Lenovo T60 w Mobility Radeon X1400.

          I can confirm the flickering with AIGLX and other OpenGL contexts, like when trying to watch a video in Xine or Mplayer through the OpenGL output driver, the video will flicker a lot
