  • Phoronix Test Suite makes Session Logout

As the title says, when running "phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1110171-AR-BULLDOZER86" on 3.4.0, i get automatically logged out of my KDE session, around test number 22 or so. No results are saved. If of any use, its KDE 4.7.2. System is totally stable, running Folding@Home for months. Thanks!

It's not due to the Phoronix Test Suite itself but one of the tests is stressing your system too hard, causing a driver problem, or something else. I've only ever found two systems though that exhibited this issue -- one for GNOME and one for KDE. Both were ATI graphics and using Catalyst 11.8/11.9, so in looking at your hardware, I'm thinking that it's probably a Catalyst bug as that appears to be the only common denominator I see from a quick look.

phoronix-test-suite gui hasn't been supported in Phoronix-Test-Suite 3.x series. The PHP-GTK project is sadly more or less dead, and so it's been low priority for me to port the GUI portion of PTS to the PTS3 architecture, plus not many enterprise users run a GTK GUI on test nodes.
