I want to install Ubuntu at home, where I dont have internet access. The big problem is that Ubuntu seems to be very network dependant and I dont know how to update the apt repository (the metadata, not the whole repository) and how to get the packages I want to install. Specially Im concerned the propietary videocards drivers, which are now installed with another tool, not Synaptic. So far a friend recommended me apt-on-cd and also I found apt-offline, which seems to solve the updates problem. Is there any solution for this?
