    I think your title should be "Adobe Releases Flash Player 11.0 Release Candidate 1" Rather than Beta 1

      How can I check that VDPAU is working? Flash is still being an insane hog playing fullscreen Youtube.

        "A month later was a second release candidate and now we're up to RC stage. "

        I think you mean "a second beta".

          Nope, flash is still not useful.

          Still fullscreen video is
          - on the wrong screen
          - in the wrong position
          - in the wrong size
          (left monitor is 1600x900, right is 1600x1200)

          Also, video rendering is software with flash 11 in fullscreen (not that it matters when it is this broken) while it is accelerated with flash 10 + nspluginwrapper.
          Of course:
          Code:
          ~ % cat /etc/adobe/mms.cfg
          #Hardware video decoding
          EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1
          OverrideGPUValidation=1
          Max Racer 3D also still renders with 2-3 fps. But maybe it's because of the radeon open source driver. Somehow I doubt it though.

            "labs.adobe.com" seems down (just) for me.
            Anybody care to share the plugin for 64bit?

            EDIT: back now.

              Simple way: RMB on YT video -> show video info.

              Because it's software rendered. Nothing changed since beta. http://phoronix.com/forums/showthrea...ht=#post222832

                Still sticking to 10.3, when I leave a Youtube video it totally freezes the system.
                (Nvidia drivers - x64 platform - firefox 6)

                But I just discovered the flash-player-properties in the tar.gz, in a tab it says "peer-assisted networking". Never heard about that but it seems it's already functionnal in 10.3 ! how come no streaming site already uses that ?

                  What the heck is up with Adobe's bug tracker? Look at this:

                  It was closed and a new URL given to a "new" bug tracker. Which isn't working for well over a month now.

                    I've submitted a bug there : https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=newBug got an answer by mail but the bug file disappeared... and no further mail answers. Is it the one that is not working ?
                    That's a strange way to handle beta testers...
