    Phoronix: Linux 2.6.24-rc1 Kernel Released

    Last night Linus Torvalds pushed out the Linux 2.6.24-rc1 Kernel, which is one large development release. Compressed, there are 11MB worth of changes, which is over twice the usual amount.

    Bigger is better They don't want it to get unstable, but I've never had any problems with a Kernel release, so I think they can increase the development speed even more without any big trouble

      Interesting... From what I've read about this kernel release it's going to be a kernel similar to 2.6.10 in that it'll change driver API, several subsystems, etc. I'd expect that upon release there's going to be major breakage from stuff like proprietary drivers, NDISWrapper, VMWare and others.
