Hi,
I've been managed to install the new driver on Gutsy 64bit successfully. But as described elsewhere here in the forums there are some problems, related to the driver.
GL_texture_from_pixmap is there, but cannot detect by compiz. -> Fallback to indirect-rendering
OpenGL applications doesn't functioning with enabled compiz (3D-Window-Manager in general?) -> flickering display. X11-Video works fine, instead.
Can someone, who has the technically knowledge, explain the technically reasons behind this, because it seems for me that this issues are not directly related to the driver. It seems that is rather are a general problem, especially the OpenGl on, to initialize such components
