Hi All,
According to my laptop specs my Radeon Mobility x1600 should be able to go up to 512MB with 256MB "HyperMemory" taken from system RAM.
I can't find any option in my BIOS for this, and my amdcccle (with latest 8.42 drivers) shows "256MB", and my system still has it's full complement of 2GB RAM.
Should I be expecting to get HyperMemory when using fglrx? Is it supported etc. etc.? I've never used this laptop with Windows, so I don't know if it works there.
Thanks,
L.
EDIT: I just found that the missing HyperMemory support in my BIOS can be solved with a BIOS upgrade (ugghhh... gotta work out how to do this from Linux). If HyperMemory support in fglrx is no good, than please warn me so I can not upgrade my bios. Thanks.
