This is nothing new,...but it could mean that Valve has some interest in Linux gaming.Maybe deal they lost with EA because of the Origin rock their boat.Hah,who knows.But i know that Desktop Linux is dieing and so is Windows in that department (yes i know,google it) even RedHat sead so and Linux is to big player in mobile and Cloud to just ignore it .
I'm just pissed because to many developers defend them selves with line such as:"Linux is Hackers platform!"
Very true.
However, Linux players would like to play Battlefield on their linux distro. Natively.
I'm part of the phoronix readers that are more interested in gaming and far less on the state of latest git code for open-source drivers, so this news is great stuff to read.
I just hope this won't be vaporware as UT3 was.
To plug myself again, there's actual gaming sites for that - http://www.gamingonlinux.com - steam still isn't coming to Linux folk, not any time soon anyway, that includes this new game.
