      Code:
      FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge -pv ati-drivers
      but i just tried to do the same and patchset is not valid for this new driver. Finally I install it using the ATI installer.
      Ehm, strange thing that exactly this patchset is working like a charm for me...

          In principle, the installer should handle replacing the packages for you.

          Do tell me how you get on - in Feisty 64bit, the new driver is lovely, except that it's broken wine totally for me...

          • I'm using x200m and got it working. The results are less than stellar though. Some animations in Compiz Fusion are choppy. Scolling in most apps is choppy. I also get weird scrambled video when opening certain apps like firefox. But AIGLX is working, its a step forward.

            Specs:
            x200m + feisty + Compiz Fusion (trevino) + 8.42.3

              Im on core2 duo with 32bit env, but I compiled almost my whole world with gcc-4.3.0 with -march=core2. could this enable some 64bit flags?

                  Also, fglrx driver since version 8.38 start to hang for a strange reason when the first application i started was firefox and nothing else were running.

                  I've tried to figure out every fglrx parameter in xorg.conf but none resolved my problem.

                  if someone have any suggestion i'd appreciate, thx

                    No. 32bits are 32bits and only 32 bits.
