Phoronix: Floating-Point Depth Buffers For Mesa

There's another item on the TODO list for Mesa's OpenGL 3.0 support to scratch off. Marek Ol??k has been viciously finishing up bits of OpenGL 3.0 support (along with his always-excellent work to the Radeon Gallium3D drivers) and has now produced a set of 13 patches that provide floating-point depth buffers...

    Article request...

Can you write post about how to compile mesa from code repository?

I'm interested in testing newest stuff, but do not know how to.

Have Asus N71 with AMD 5730HD, and R600g is unusable for right now (gpu overheat whole notebook :/, and also lack OGL 4.1), but I want to help a bit, and also want to learn a bit.

Big thanks for yet another extension for OGL 3.0!!!

It was a forum member, who pointed out that this information was not accurate.
