    This doesn't sound like anything exciting for Linux users. I hope the major distros stick with 1.10.x for their autumn releases to avoid the ABI breakage.

      Peter Hutterer has also proposed merging some of the input work and releasing that as X Input 2.1 to go into this release, but as of RC1 it's not been merged.
      I would love for this to happen, as it would be ready for opensuse 12.1/Ubuntu 11.10/Fedora 16.

        Ubuntu 11.10 is shipping X Server 1.10 and already backport their own input stuff...
