test suite seems to not work

Hi to all,

sorry for my english

I have installed the Poronix test suite on my netbook with the 11.04 ubuntu.
when i try to start the test, for 1 second a terminal window get open ( it is not possible to read what is written in the terminal) and then it get closed and nothing happens.

can someone help please?

Use console

That's because the System Tools | Phoronix Test Suite option in Ubuntu runs a console application that exits almost immediately. It's a mistake by the person packaging the software, it should either launch a GUI application, a persistent console session, or not be in the menu at all.

To use PTS go to command line:

$ phoronix-test-suite

That was the same problem I was having and using terminal worked. Now if I can just figure out how to use it.

Wouldn't that be an easy fix for phoronix?
