  • What's up with Xgl?

What is going on with Xegl? Haven't heard much about it since the huge Xgl hype in spring 2006.
    Is there any significant progress?
Does anyone have experience with testing Xegl?

I think it is still getting developed, but AIGLX is just the better solution and works better in all aspects, so there is no need for XGL as far as I know.

Sorry, as I wrote in the text, I am interested in Xegl not Xgl(may a mod change the title?).

From commit watching i believe no work have been done since quite long time on any EGL things. However the current modesetting rework and memory manager (TTM) work are key stone for a proper EGL implementation. So maybe once this settle done (in 1 year, 2 years, ...) there will be some work again on EGL. Of course if you are interested this is open source and any body is welcome to work on anythings he wants.
