  • Phoronix Test Suite on Embedded Ubuntu Linux

Am using the Phoronix Test Suite on Embedded ubuntu 10.10 Linux , however quite a few of the tests are not supported.

Is there a list of such tests that dont run on ARB based linux system ? Any uodate on weather these would be fixed for ARM - Linux ?

I think I posted a list in another thread but don't have that page handy at the moment.

It'd be possible to make more test profiles run under ARM, but at the moment I don't have access to any modern ARM hardware so am unable to port any more tests over myself.

I'm really interested in some ARM results as well. I'm very curious to see how these compare to x86 results, like for example the AMD Fusion and the Intel Atom.

Michael, if you're interested in a cheap ARM system will full Linux support to play with, consider Genesi's two current ARM systems, the Smarttop (PC, no monitor) or their Smartbook (ARM-based netbook):

The Smarttop is $129 and the Smartbook $199.

They seem to give very good support over at their forums here: http://www.powerdeveloper.org/ but I haven't taken the plunge myself yet and bought any of their systems. I've read rumors on their forums that a new system might be available in July, based on the Freescale i.MX53 series which allows up to a single core 1.2 GHz CPU, up to 2 GB RAM, 1080p decoding.
Bear in mind that the 3D drivers do not work at the moment, but it's my impression that they're working hard on resolving that.
