      That is now the official policy of the Liberal Party, the party in opposition right now in Canada. There will soon be a vote of non-confidence (on March 21, the day before the budget) due to this: http://openparliament.ca/hansards/2361/152/

      The Liberals, as one of the two political blocs who have formed federal government in Canada, are thus posed to win the election and make net neutrality law in Canada (whether it be via nationalization or epic regulation). Keep in mind the Conservatives themselves came to power due a scandal much smaller in scope than the one the Conservatives are facing at the moment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwP5fKSLOzA).
