Sounds interesting. Is there a way to figure out the exact version of mesa in the Radeon live CD that will get tested tomorrow?

Well, this is a bit pointless because there's a bug in Fedora 15 right now that makes Gnome-Shell/Mutter crash after login on pretty much all AMD Radeon r600-r900 based cards (Bug 677842).

nikai: mesa is a 7.10 snapshot. Last snapshot date was 2011-01-07 but nvc0 and nv10+nv20 fixes have been backported to it since then.

d2kx: sure, it's useless for everyone except owners of pre-r600 radeon cards, intel cards, and nvidia cards...

Great, in this case I can try to reproduce a mesa regression I'm currently seeing.
