I just clean installed Fedora Core 6 x86_64 on my system. I have an ATI Xpress 200 card. I have an AMD 2800+ processor and 1 GB Ram.
I installed yumex and then installed
xorg-x11-drv-fglrx-8.29.6-1.lvn6
kmod-fglrx-8.29.6-1.2.6.18_1.2798.fc6
from the livna repository.
My scren resolution changed from 800X600 to 1280x1024 after a reboot. When i run glxinfo | grep direct i get:
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
Also when i run fglrxinfo i get:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.5.1)
After googling a bit i found that this means that my drivers are not installed. But i can see the ATI Control Panel.
Also i have not been able to install the ATI 8.29.x or ATI 8.30.x drivers because of errors posted in other threads in this forum. I have tried each and everything that i could find in this and other forums and still ended up with nothing.
I am posting my xorg.conf file below:

Hopefully now i can get a solution from someone. Please help me out! Thank you in advance.
PS. I would like to get compiz running either on xgl or AIGLX. I tried installing xgl and ended up failing miserably. That's why i have gone back to the clean install!
