    They should be in the path as user. Also a fresh copy of vlc, x264 and ffmpeg.

      Excuse me Kano but I'm a little bit busy this days.
      Anyway, is there any distro which is supposed to get video hardware acceleration enabled on ATI cards ?
      I don't mind to try them.

      Thanks.

        My own distro needs the same scripts. But they they should work with any Debian/Ubuntu system. mplayer works in theory best with video accelleration but only up to h264 level 4.1 - otherwise use Win vdpau with Nvidia cards works usually better.

            Here I am, again.
            Still no luck with this.

            This is my vainfo now:
            Code:
            libva: libva version 0.32.0
            Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
            libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
            libva: Trying to open /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_drv_video.so
            libva: va_openDriver() returns 0
            vainfo: VA API version: 0.32
            vainfo: Driver version: Splitted-Desktop Systems XvBA backend for VA-API - 0.7.8
            vainfo: Supported profile and entrypoints
                  VAProfileH264High               :	VAEntrypointVLD
                  VAProfileVC1Advanced            :	VAEntrypointVLD
            I'm really frustated. It work on Windows but no in Linux.
            Any news?
            Any ideas to try?

            Thanks.
