So nokia joins forces with microsoft. IMHO they won't be able to compete with android. Its the death certificate of nokia and a major blow to qt4. What do you think?

Worst economic decision in the mobile market ever.

Nokia will die soon, and from the Q&A, it sounds like they are starting to lay off MeeGo and Qt developers very soon. Oh boy, good luck KDE.

Tannenbaum is wrong. Nokia should have increased development efforts on MeeGo and put aside microkernel based Symbian long before. It is obvious that as the devices get complicated, microkernel based approach gets harder to develop and wastes valuable time.

The result will be microsoft gaining a %5 or perhaps a %10 maximum increase in handheld OS market and nokia further shrinking to %20 levels in device sales. Can't understand how they could be that stupid.

But then again time will tell what nokia will do with MeeGo.
