Info about AIGLX and ATi

I asked the customer center, and I got a maybe good answer:

I have no annouced timeframe for when AIGLX support in Linux will be available in the drivers.

If you subscribe to KB 737-26907 you will be notified when the KB article is updated.

This says that it will come, but he do not know when, don't u think?

I'm not so sure about that... but I think that I go for ATi and Windows rather than NVidia and linux, and siwtch over to ATi and linux later on again. two X2900Xt in crossover is sweet and cost the same as an 8800 GTX/Ultra

It's not AIGLX support that I want... It's texture_from_pixmap and Composite working at the same time as direct rendering.

Simply supporting AIGLX does not automatically mean that beryl and/or compiz will work.
