Phoronix: The Humble Indie Bundle #2 Has Arrived

As was pointed out in our forums this morning, the second "Humble Indie Bundle" has arrived. It was just five days ago that there were hints of a second bundle on the way after the very successful first bundle that led to all of those games being open-sourced. Now though the second Humble Indie Bundle is now available and with all new games...

Being able to activate it on steam is nice, but it is not that useful until the mystical Steam Linux client is available.

All of the games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux
Errr, did braid get a linux port when I wasn't looking or are they talking wine?

Braid appears to have a Linux client. At least, there is a self-extracting archive file available for download for Linux. I need to investigate this.

Only Lugaru and Penumbra were open-sourced, the rest weren't.

Originally, only LugaruHD was going to be opensourced anyway.

                  From Ars: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...t-you-want.ars

"Braid is making its Linux debut in the bundle, as is Cortex Command, which is timing a large game update with the launch,"

"We learned that piracy is inevitable—even when you let people literally give a penny to charity for DRM-free games, large percentages of people will still pirate the bundle," he said. "We learned that open source software is still commercially viable. After open sourcing a number of games in the bundle, none of our sales were negatively affected."

False! Gish and Aquaria were also open sourced.
