Playing the harry potter HD trailer on youtube with this plugin, on a i7 with a geforce 275 gtx, not a single core goes above 10% usage.

Did they fix the glaring bug where the flash plugin stores temporary files in the user's home-directory browser cache rather than /tmp? Because that's really, really, really, really irritating.

        So, 32bit nVidia users only?

        Glad they've covered the majority.

          64-bit (Adobe Flash 10.3 preview 3, built November 17th): http://download.macromedia.com/pub/l..._111710.tar.gz

          (No StageVideo/MultiMonitor video)

The 10.2 codebase does have video acceleration, as I've been streaming fullscreen HD video from youtube ever since installing a preview version some time ago, with negligible CPU use.

I assume that it's based on shaders.

This is 64-bit, using Radeon OSS drivers, BTW.

So what is new in it if there is no video acceleration?

Actually, scratch that, the IMAX demo takes too much CPU at 1080. I'm sure I was streaming HD stuff before with very little CPU usage, though....

                  Hrm....

The 1080p IMAX sample is crap, try an actual trailer in 1080p and compare performance. There is no improvement what-so-ever over previous version... using 64bit preview here.

I believe the link supplied above is for the Flash Player Square 10.2 beta 3.

There are two versions of flash beta, as explained here
                      1. Adobe Flash Player "Square" (64-Bit)
                      2. Adobe Flash Player "Stage Video" (32-Bit)
