I have a GeForce FX 5500 and a philips 32" LCD TV (32pfl3605/12). They are connected with a DVI -> HDMI cable.
While using windows XP, in the nvidia control center, I can select 1080p, and the TV happily displayes a pixel-perfect screen of 1920x1080. When I select 1080i, the TV switches to 1080i, but the screen is not pixel-perfect.
So my question: How can I make my FX5500 output a 1080p signal?
I run arch linux with the nouveau driver. Kernel version is:
